Now for something new. This jean was made for the guy who likes to maim and mar his jeans himself. Thick and durable raw denim is constructed into our popular, slim fit Rocco jean for modern style. The tightly woven denim allows the rich, indigo dye to soak the fibers completely and highlights a single needle stitch in a classic hay colored hue. Wear it with very few washes in between to get a natural worn-in look for added character.

When I purchased this jean, I understood it to be raw non-sanforized selvedge denim. Since True Religion does not fit as tight as some other premium jeans, mine has a comfortable (read "loose") fit in the waist and thighs. I did buy one inch larger in the waist than I normally wear in True Religion jeans though because they are raw and prone to shrinkage with the first wash, even with cold water. Given that, although very comfortable, I have plenty of room in them. A hot water wash should shrink them, but you want to make sure that they are overly large in the waist and hips, or you could make them too tight for comfort. Also, make sure they're inside out, and wash them alone, or they will fade and bleed all over anything else in the wash (you probably already knew that, but just a heads up in case you forgot). Raw denim will naturally loosen as you wear them as they stretch with you, so if you like the look and feel, limit "washing" to infrequent dry cleaning only. That way they won't shrink, but can still pick up your wear marks for a more natural raw denim look.

Is this fit to true size? I'm confusing with the size chart. My waist is 33

Best Answer · If your waist measures 33" we recommend purchasing a size 30 in our jeans. You may also view this information by using our size chart below.

my 34" on the tag, unwashed and worn several times now measures a 36. I generally wear a 36" jean, but in the higher quality brands I go to a 34. If you intend on washing and drying them stick with your normal size, if you will wear them in the true selvedge style, I.e. wash once or twice a year, then I would drop a size. these jeans fit me perfectly and out of the 42 pairs I own are my #1 ranked. love them!

No, not true to size. I'm usually a 30/31. I ordered a 31 and drowned in them. Also they do not seem "slim", I'd say more so boot cut. Very baggy

I bought a pair and needed to go one size down. You should get a 32. It is a raw denim so it will give as you wear and break it in. The color is very nice. I can't wait to break mine in.

A little big. If you want a truly slim fit, go a size down.

It's a half size to a size bigger because it's a raw jean.

Do these fade after a few washes?
    · Add Your Answer · Votes 0 0 · Bart D on Aug 18, 2014
    Best Answer · Bart,

The best option for keeping the color is to dry clean. Additionally you can wash inside out in cold water and hang dry. This will helps keep the wash new. Most denim will fade after many washes.

No. They stay quite raw but I suppose you could wash them in hot water in a rough cycle to fade them a bit if you want. Otherwise use cold water.

mine have not, but I do not wash every time and I do not put in dryer, I hang up after washing so the jeans stay crisp. they are great
